EXCELLENT Based on 2418 reviews Posted on Ron GeorgeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. One of my absolute favorite restaurants ever. The jagerschnitzel is incredible, and the burger is equally fantastic and not overdone with any crazy toppings. Many of the appetizers are also highly worth trying! I was personally not a fan of the sausages, but I think that's just a matter of preference.Posted on Dan HeapTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. only had the beer but as a fan of German beer it was amazing to have it all in one place. Especially, since most other places have too many IPA's on tap (imo)Posted on Mike BrownTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great beer selection and great food.Posted on Ilhan TanirTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When Kindness Meets Community Some experiences transcend food and drink—they become memories you'll treasure forever. My evening at this gem of a establishment was exactly that: a beautiful reminder of why we go out, why we connect, and why certain places become more than just venues—they become the backdrop for life's loveliest moments. I stopped in for happy hour with modest intentions—just a drink or two to unwind before catching my train. The atmosphere immediately embraced me: laid-back without being sleepy, comfortable without being generic, the kind of place where you can breathe and just be. I settled in with my first drink, soaking in the easy vibe. As I was ordering my second round, a lively group arrived. Without thinking twice, I shifted down the bar to make room for them—just basic courtesy, the kind of small gesture we all should make but sometimes forget in our rush through life. Then something magical happened. A lovely woman from the group approached me with the warmest smile and insisted on buying me an Erdinger beer—as a thank you for making space for them without being asked. I was genuinely touched. In a world where rudeness often goes viral and kindness feels increasingly rare, this simple act of reciprocal generosity stopped me in my tracks. It wasn't about the beer (though, let's be honest, who turns down a free Erdinger?). It was about being seen, being appreciated for a tiny moment of consideration. But the story gets better. A gentleman from the same group struck up a conversation, asking how I was enjoying the Erdinger. I told him the truth: it was superb—rich, mellow, beautifully aromatic, with that distinctive character that sets German beers apart. I was genuinely impressed. I jokingly asked if he was the owner or perhaps a distributor. He smiled and replied, "No, we're from the Erdinger region of Germany." My mind raced. The timing, the generosity, the specific beer choice, the pride in his voice—I'm still convinced this man had some connection to the brewery. Perhaps family ties? A longtime resident with friends in the business? Whatever the case, his passion for his homeland's brewing tradition was palpable and infectious. The venue itself deserves immense credit for cultivating this kind of environment. The setting is perfectly pitched: relaxed enough to encourage strangers to become friends, elevated enough to attract thoughtful, quality-minded patrons. The staff was attentive without hovering, the happy hour offerings were generous, and the overall atmosphere struck that rare balance between energetic and intimate. I didn't try the food on this visit, but I'm absolutely planning a return trip specifically to explore their menu. If the kitchen operates with the same care and quality as the bar program—and if the clientele continues to be this exceptional—I have no doubt it'll be outstanding.Posted on Tatiana DaguillardTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 🍰 Stopped in on break to catch our breath from exploring Philadelphia, really nice first experience. Tried the apple pie, it was delicious. 🍸 Excited to come back and properly enjoy the drinks and full food menu next time. Definitely feels like a spot worth revisiting!Posted on Ceraun LogginsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’d come back here for the beer alone tbh. Great selection of German beers. The food was a bit rich for me I know they used some butter back there. The crab pretzel had real chunks of crab in it and was very cheesy. Perfect for splitting idk if anyone could eat the whole thing by yourself . The schnitzel with mushroom gravy was good even better then next day.Posted on Andrew BunkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brauhaus, what a wonderful spot to hangout on South street and they give you an incredibly authentic German experience! If you like German/European style beers, this place is a MUST visit. They have over 20 of them on tap, all great quality. I did not have food this time. Entrees are around $20-30 but again it’s all authentically German. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. They have a few TVs as well so it’s a decent spot to watch a game. If you are on South street I 100% recommend hanging out here.
